Terms and Conditions
1. Owner
1.1. The person in charge of organizing online language courses is the owner, Damian Pacek.
2. General regulations
2.1. Every lesson unit is 45 minutes long. One course session lasts 90 minutes. Each course consists of at least 8 sessions or more. These 8 sessions must each be completed in a period of max. 4 weeks.
2.2. The course can be extended at any time by further 8 sessions, which must be attended within a maximum period of 4 weeks.
2.3. An individual course for more than 2 students consists of a minimum of 12 sessions. Due to increased number of students, the student speaking time during each live session is reduced. To maintain the quality of the course and ensure sufficient speaking time for each student, a minimum of 12 live sessions must be booked if there are more than 2 students.
2.4. There is no claim for reimbursement for lessons that cannot be attended by the customer due to illness or other reasons. In justified cases, a make-up session can be arranged under certain circumstances.
2.5. Punctual and regular attendance, obligatory homework and self-study as well as regular and active class participation are important conditions for effective language learning and reaching the stated course goals. The course participant undertakes to follow these conditions.
2.6. The course participant undertakes to purchase the coursebook selected by the teacher for the respective course.
2.7. The course participant is granted access to additional online course materials. These are only available for the duration of the course.
3. Payment Conditions
3.1. The course fees shall be paid in advance (at least 48h).
3.2. Upon receipt of payment, your registration is binding for us and the participant declares his or her agreement with these general terms and conditions.
3.3. If the student doesn’t attend a lesson for any reason (sickness, personal matters….) or he/she cancels the course, the fee will not be refunded. The entire course fee must be paid.
3.4. In case that the owner has signed Agreement on payment by installments with a student, all agreed payments must be paid by the student independently of his attendance to class. The owner reserves his right to take legal action to recover outstanding payments.
4. Cancellation
4.1. If the student wants to cancel the contract, it must be communicated to the owner in writing at least within 14 days before the beginning of the course.
4.2. In the case of withdrawal from a booked course, the owner shall be entitled to a reasonable compensation. The compensation shall be as follows:
a) Up to four weeks before the beginning of the confirmed course, 10% of the invoiced amount
b) Up to two weeks before the start of the confirmed course, 50% of the invoiced amount
c) Up to seven days before the start of the confirmed course, 80% of the invoiced amount
After that, 100% of the invoiced amount
